Print of a man from the torso up, wearing a Tudor flat cap, and pleated ruff collar and robe; surrounded by a frame with cloth and vines; underneath the portrait sits a ceremonial bag upon a stone plinth
Comments
This print features a famous misattribution of the sitter. The original drawing by Federico Zuccaro is actually of Thomas Wilson (1525?-1581) and not of Sir Nicolas Bacon (1510-1579).
